In case you haven't heard, many nature photographers debate the ethics of captive animals being used to obtain great images and how such images should be captioned. As people who care about nature and its preservation, I suggest our energies would be better utilized by discussing human overpopulation of our planet and the resulting destruction of natural habitat; we don't have much left. Perhaps photographs of captive animals help give the general public a greater appreciation of our natural world and may indirectly contribute to its preservation.
